Stamford Man Killed At Work After Heavy Machinery Crashes Into Him

Police in Fairfield County and federal authorities are investigating the death of a 64-year-old worker at a business Wednesday morning, Oct. 30, after a piece of heavy machinery hit him, authorities said.

The Stamford victim, who police did not name, was assisting a customer at the business around 8:15 a.m. when a 28-year-old Stamford front-end loader driver slammed into him, authorities said. 

Stamford Police did not name the business. 

Paramedics rushed the man to Stamford Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. 

Police contacted the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, or OSHA, to investigate the incident. They'll release a report on their findings.
